Boho Backyard Wedding In Bonney Lake | SSK
What can I say about this boho backyard wedding in Bonney Lake other than it was simply magical. I’ve never seen a family so close and connected at a wedding. It was the most beautiful thing to witness.
A few days before the wedding, the groom (Scott), lost his dad suddenly and unexpectedly. Heading into this day, I knew emotions would be high for all. I mean they were high for me – having lost my own dad and my father in law before my wedding, I couldn’t imagine what this family was going through. It was incredible to see everyone rally around Shelby and Scott, celebrating their strength and love for each other.
This touching family affair was certainly not without style! Shelby looked like a bohemian princess bride, and her sister Megan helped her put together a gorgeous setting at their parents home. Touches of blush pink, lots of greenery, an arbor made of birch and billowing fabric, and personalized geode name cards are just the tip of the iceberg for this boho backyard wedding in Bonney Lake!
Shelby’s garter was handmade with a locket that included one of their engagement photos and a blue gemstone for her “something blue”.
At the first look, Shelby and Scott exchanged loving letters to each other and sweet little gifts.
I don’t normally include family photos in my blog posts, but with this wedding being such a family affair, I couldn’t resist! Plus they’re seriously all gorgeous.
As we wrapped up family photos, one of the neighbors flagged us down and told us we could use his garden for a few quick picks! We didn’t have time to get all the way down into the flowers, but the walkway he had designed was the perfect photo op.
I think one of the best moments from the day is when Shelby and Scott fist bumped before their kiss!
The crystal geode name cards were my favorite touch of boho at the reception.
Shelby, Scott, and I snuck out for what were supposed to be sunset photos on her parent’s dock, but the clouds rolled in and it started raining. These two love birds embraced the drizzle and shared a tender moment together.
Another “out of the norm” for me is sharing cake photos – but I couldn’t resist! Shelby was a little sneaky getting cake all over Scott’s face, and I just love her “who me?” pose afterwards!
I loved capturing Shelby and Scott’s boho backyard wedding in Bonney Lake! What was supposed to be a rainy dreary day, ended up being sunny, beautiful, and everything a wedding a should be!
